Cornbread - Special

Ingredients

  • 1 c. corn meal
  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients together, including cinnamon.
  2. Put oil and egg in the dry mixture.
  3. Stir a drop.
  4. Add 1 cup of milk. Stir well.
  5. If too stiff, add a dollop more milk.
  6. Mix in.
  7. Put in 9 x 9-inch greased pan.
  8. Place in preheated oven at 350°F and bake for 25 minutes.
  9. It will pull away from the sides when done.
