Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups cornflakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Using a large spoon or fingers, mix well.
  3. Roll dough into 3/4 x 1-inch diameter pieces.
  4. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 11 to 13 minutes.
  6. Cool briefly on the cookie sheet.
  7. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Store in an airtight container.
