- In a saucepan, combine sugar, milk, oleo, and cocoa.
- Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium and cook for 2 1/2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Mix in coconut and oatmeal until well combined.
- Drop spoonfuls quickly onto wax paper or a tray and let cool.
