Ingredients

  • 4 qt. popped corn
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Put popped corn in a large greased pan.
  2. Combine brown sugar, butter, dark corn syrup, salt, and vanilla in a saucepan.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils.
  4. Boil for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and stir to coat well.
  6. Bake at 250°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool and store in a tightly covered container.
