Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) graham cracker crust or baked pie shell
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 1/2 cups blueberry or cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Put water and gelatin in a small saucepan.
  2. Place over direct heat and stir until dissolved and mixture is clear.
  3. In a medium-sized bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice.
  4. Stir in the gelatin mixture.
  5. Fold in sour cream.
  6. Mix in 1 1/4 cups of the pie filling.
  7. Add several drops of almond flavoring to cherry pie filling if desired.
  8. Turn the mixture into the graham cracker crust or baked pie shell.
  9. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
  10. Garnish the pie top with remaining chilled pie filling before serving.
