Ingredients

  • 8 oz. package fine noodles
  • 12 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 bunch green onion
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles and drain.
  2. Place cooked noodles in a greased 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
  3. In a bowl, stir together cream cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onion, then spread over the noodles.
  4. Brown the ground beef in a skillet; add black pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce.
  5. Simmer the beef mixture for 5 minutes.
  6. Spoon the beef mixture on top of the cheese and noodle layers.
  7. Bake the casserole at 350°F for 20 minutes if freshly assembled, or for 1 hour if refrigerated beforehand.
