Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons flour

Instructions

  1. Put sugar, syrup, vanilla, and half of the cream in a pan.
  2. Stir constantly until it boils.
  3. Add the rest of the cream slowly; don't let boiling cease.
  4. Cook until a soft ball forms in cold water.
  5. Mix together the flour, cornstarch, and butter; have this ready.
  6. Add the flour mixture to the syrup mixture; stir and continue to cook until a soft ball forms.
  7. Pour into a buttered pan; let cool before cutting.
