Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup tahini (sesame seed paste)
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 6 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 (19 oz.) cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed and drained

Instructions

  1. Place water, tahini, and garlic in a food processor and process until smooth.
  2. Add lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, salt, and black pepper to the processor.
  3. Process until smooth, scraping sides occasionally.
  4. Add rinsed and drained chickpeas and process until creamy.
