Ingredients

  • 2 c. milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 pkg. vanilla sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 pkg. Pepperidge Farm puff pastry
  • confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, mix together milk, egg yolks, cornstarch, sugar, and vanilla sugar.
  2. Heat and stir with a whisk until thickened. Cool completely.
  3. When butter and the cooked mixture are at room temperature, beat the butter until creamy.
  4. Add the cooked mixture by tablespoon while beating until all the cooked mixture is incorporated with the butter.
