Ingredients

  • 5 cups flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 teaspoons vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pound butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sour cream, vinegar-water mixture, and butter to form a pie-like dough.
  2. Roll out a section of dough onto a floured surface until thin.
  3. Cut the dough into 1 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch squares.
  4. Place a drop of filling (preferably Solo brand) into the center of each square.
  5. Fold two corners over the filling, overlapping the tips, and seal with wet edges if needed.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  8. These pastries can be frozen for later and kept tightly contained after thawing.
