Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) can crescent rolls
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  2. Separate the crescent dough into 2 large rectangles.
  3. Press the dough over the bottom and 1/2 inch up the sides of the pan to form the crust.
  4. Seal any perforations in the dough.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, combine the beaten egg, sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla.
  7. Pour the mixture over the partially baked crust.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18 to 22 minutes, until the filling is brown and set.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
