Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz.) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Line a 9 x 13-inch pan with one can of crescent rolls.
  2. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the layer of crescent rolls in the pan.
  4. Unroll and place the second can of crescent rolls over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Brush the top with beaten egg white.
  6. Mix 1/2 cup of sugar with chopped nuts and sprinkle evenly over the top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes until golden brown.
