Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 6 slices pumpernickel or rye bread

Instructions

  1. In a small glass bowl, heat butter at High for 1 minute or until melted.
  2. Brush butter onto one side of each bread slice.
  3. Cut the bread into small cubes.
  4. Arrange the bread cubes in an oblong baking dish and drizzle with remaining butter.
  5. Heat at High for 5 to 6 minutes or until bread is crispy, stirring twice during cooking.
  6. Let stand for 10 minutes, covered, until ready to serve.
