Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 cup small croutons
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk or light cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • dash of pepper

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon until crisp; remove and set aside.
  2. Pour off all but two tablespoons of bacon drippings from the skillet.
  3. Add croutons to the reserved drippings and heat, stirring until brown and crisp; remove from skillet.
  4. Slightly beat eggs, milk, salt, and pepper together.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet with the drippings.
  6. Cook until nearly set, stirring gently.
  7. Stir in crumbled bacon and toasted croutons.
  8. Cook until just set and serve.
