- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Put butter in a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan and place in the oven until melted.
- Meanwhile, combine crushed stuffing and salt in a plastic or brown paper bag.
- Beat the egg with water to make an egg wash.
- Dip chicken pieces into the egg wash, then shake a few pieces at a time in the bag to coat well.
- Place chicken, skin side down, in the melted butter in the baking pan.
- Bake uncovered in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 30 minutes.
- Turn the chicken pieces and continue baking for another 30 minutes or until tender and golden.
