Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. nuts, chopped
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • dash of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, dissolve soda in water and pour over dates.
