Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 8 oz chopped dates
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • Angel Flake coconut

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, margarine, beaten egg, and chopped dates in a boiler. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until thick.
  2. Cool the mixture, then pour over Rice Krispies and chopped nuts in a large bowl.
  3. Stir to mix well until evenly combined.
  4. Take small amounts of the mixture and roll between hands to form finger shapes.
  5. Roll the fingers in Angel Flake coconut to coat.
  6. Yields approximately 1 dozen.
