Instructions
- Combine first 7 ingredients.
- Beat well.
- Roll dough about 1/4-inch thick.
- Mix dates, lemon juice, water and sugar.
- Cook together 5 minutes.
- Add the chopped nuts to date mixture.
- Spread over cookie dough.
- Roll up like a jelly roll.
- Wrap in wax paper. Leave in refrigerator overnight.
- Slice and bake in 350° oven until lightly browned.
