David'S Berry Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs (rm temp)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbl vanilla
  • zest from 1 orange
  • 7 - 8 oz cranberries or blueberries or any frozen fruit

Instructions

  1. oven at 350
  2. Sift together flour, soda and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar.
  4. Add and beat in 1 egg at a time.
  5. Mix together the buttermilk, vanilla and orange zest.
  6. Add the flour and buttermilk alternatively to the butter mix.
  7. Fold in Berries.
  8. Add to 1 angel food cake pan or 2 loaf pans.
  9. Bake for 1 hr.
