Ingredients

  • Taco Shells
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 c. shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 c. (about 4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 large tomato, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare Taco Shells.
  2. Cook and stir hamburger in skillet until done.
  3. Drain.
  4. Stir in water, 1/2 cup onion, chili powder, salt, cumin and garlic.
  5. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
  6. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 10 minutes.
  7. Spoon 1/4 cup mixture into each shell.
  8. Top with lettuce, onion, cheese, tomato and sour cream.
