Crispy, golden deep-fried Camembert wedges with a sesame seed crust offer a rich, cheesy flavor complemented by a crunchy exterior, perfect as an appetizer or party snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. of 4 oz. rounds of Camembert
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup dry fine bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut each Camembert round into 6 wedges.
  2. In a bowl, combine bread crumbs and sesame seeds.
  3. Dip each wedge in beaten egg, then coat with the bread crumb and sesame seed mixture.
  4. Repeat until all wedges are coated.
  5. Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Deep fry the coated wedges until golden brown.
  7. Serve on a toothpick with some juicy strawberries.
