Deep Fry Batter

- In small bowl, lightly mix together cold water and egg.
- Add 1 cup cake flour.
- Barely mix just enough to dampen.
- (Batter should be lumpy.)
- Then add 2/3 cup more flour.
- Sprinkle it over batter and fold in twice.
- Dip small strips of fish, chicken or turkey in batter.
- (Kind of pull them through the batter to coat.)
- Cook in hot oil until golden.
- Drain.
- Keep warm in oven.
