Ingredients

  • 2 lb. deer
  • 2 pkg. mild chili seasoning
  • 1 qt. tomato juice
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 (8 oz.) can Ro-Tel tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 8 to 10 slices cheese
  • 1 large bag corn chips

Instructions

  1. Brown deer and onion in a frying pan. Drain the mixture.
  2. In a large pot, mix all ingredients except cheese and chips.
  3. Let the mixture simmer for about 30 minutes, then add the cooked meat and onion.
  4. Allow it to simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
  5. In each serving bowl, place corn chips at the bottom.
  6. Pour chili on top and add a slice of cheese.
  7. Serve while hot. Leftover chili can be frozen, if desired.
