Ingredients

  • 3 lb. deer meat
  • 3 onions
  • 2 bell peppers
  • 2 1/2 gal. tomato juice or stewed tomatoes
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. celery seed or powder
  • 2 pkg. chili mix
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pinto or red beans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large pot.
  2. Cook over medium heat until the deer meat is tender and flavors meld.
  3. Serve hot, optionally with beans.
