Deer Meatball Soup Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 to 1 1/2 lbs. deer burger (with suet) ⓘ
- 1 or possibly 2 jalapeno peppers (minced fine) ⓘ
- 2 tbsp. minced onion ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic pwdr ⓘ
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper ⓘ
- 1 tbsp. minced parsley ⓘ
- 2 Large eggs (slightly beaten) ⓘ
- 2 slices dry bread crumbs ⓘ
- 3 tbsp. bacon grease ⓘ
- 1 pkg. Au Jus mix ⓘ
- 6 c. water ⓘ
Instructions
- In a bowl mix all ingredients except bacon grease, Au Jus mix and water.
- Shape into small meatballs.
- Brown meatballs in bacon grease.
- In a pan, over medium heat, stir Au Jus mix into water till dissolved.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, add in meatballs and simmer (uncovered) for 45 min.
