Ingredients

  • 1 can shredded tuna fish
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1/2 cup chopped red beets
  • 1 small can anchovies (optional)
  • generous lump of butter
  • lemon juice to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the entire mixture in a frying pan, add lemon juice, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Heat thoroughly; it does not need to be fully cooked, just heated.
  3. Spoon the mixture onto toast rounds.
  4. Top with Russian dressing or serve over noodles if desired.
