Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. hot salad oil
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. rosemary
  • 3/4 tsp. chili powder
  • 3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 2 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 1/2 c. Ricotta or small curd cottage cheese
  • 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Saute onions and garlic in oil until tender.
  2. Add ground beef and seasonings; stir beef to crumble and cook until beef is lightly browned.
  3. Add tomato paste and water, mixing well. Simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes.
  4. Cook noodles according to package directions; drain.
