Ingredients

  • 1 lb. dried beans
  • 4 c. chicken broth
  • 2 c. shredded lettuce
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1 medium onion, grated
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Instructions

  1. Soak the dried beans overnight in water.
  2. Combine the soaked beans and chicken broth in a large pan.
  3. Simmer the mixture for 1 hour until beans are tender.
  4. Stir in the shredded lettuce and cook briefly.
  5. Add the grated onion, salt, and sugar, then mix well.
