Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons sharp Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 6 ounces deviled ham

Instructions

  1. Sift flour and salt together.
  2. Cut in grated Cheddar cheese and butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Add milk and mix until dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough out as for a pie crust.
  5. Spread the rolled dough with deviled ham, then roll up like a jelly roll and chill thoroughly.
  6. Slice the chilled roll into thin slices.
  7. Bake on a cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes at 400°F.
  8. Remove immediately from the cookie sheet and serve.
