Ingredients

  • 2 (4 1/2 oz.) cans deviled ham
  • 1 1/4 cups grated Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup minced onion
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups light cream
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
  • paprika
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pastry shell

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Spread deviled ham on the bottom of the unbaked pastry shell.
  3. Sprinkle grated Swiss cheese and minced onion evenly over the ham.
  4. In a bowl, lightly beat eggs; beat in light cream, salt, and nutmeg until well combined.
  5. Pour the egg mixture into the pastry shell over the cheese and onion.
  6. Sprinkle paprika on top of the mixture.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F.
  8. Reduce oven temperature to 300°F and bake an additional 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
