Doretta'S Chili

- In a large pot, cook ground beef over medium heat, breaking it up with a fork until it loses its pink color. Pour off excess fat.
- Return the pot to heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until the onion turns soft and clear.
- Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients: taco seasoning, chili powder, flour, paprika, salt, oregano, cumin, garlic, hot water, Ranch Style beans, and chili.
- Mix these ingredients with the meat and onion, then add 3 cups hot water.
- Return to heat and stir until the mixture begins to simmer.
- Cover and reduce heat, simmering for 30 minutes.
- Add the Ranch Style beans and chili, then simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Taste and adjust seasonings as desired. Serve over rice.
