Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 4 oz. cream cheese
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine 1/2 cup butter and the cream cheese and let come to room temperature.
  2. Add 2 cups of flour and blend well.
  3. Chill the dough.
  4. Roll out half of the dough and place in a 9-inch pie plate.
  5. Reserve the remaining dough for the top crust.
  6. In a saucepan, combine the sliced apples, sugar, orange juice, honey, and cinnamon and bring to a boil.
  7. Pour the apple mixture into the crust.
  8. Roll out the remaining crust and place over the filling.
  9. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  10. Bake in a 350°F oven for 45 minutes.
