Ingredients

  • 4 cups quick oats or 4 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup honey or corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients; mix well.
  2. Press firmly into a well-greased 15 x 10-inch pan.
  3. Bake in a preheated very hot oven (450° to 425°F) for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  4. Cool thoroughly; cut into bars.
