Ingredients

  • 1 loaf white bread (family size)
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 medium onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 to 3 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Sauté chopped onion and celery in melted margarine until tender.
  2. Sprinkle poultry seasoning evenly over the onion and celery mixture.
  3. Run each slice of bread under water, squeeze out excess moisture, and place in a large bowl.
  4. Add the sautéed onion and celery mixture to the bread in the bowl.
  5. Add eggs and chopped parsley to the mixture and combine well.
  6. Spread the mixture in a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 1 hour or until golden brown.
