Ingredients

  • 6 lb. duck
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic salt or powder
  • 2 qt. sauerkraut
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Wash the duck thoroughly.
  2. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic salt inside the cavity of the duck.
  3. Mix sauerkraut, water, and sugar together.
  4. Stuff the sauerkraut mixture into the duck cavity.
  5. Cover the duck and bake at 325°F.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes per pound or until tender and brown.
