Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup melted margarine
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 2-1/4 cups flour
  • powdered sugar (optional)
  • slivered almonds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Beat together 4 eggs, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup melted margarine, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp almond extract.
  2. Add 2-1/4 cups flour and mix until well combined.
  3. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
  4. Bake at 325°F for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow to cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and slivered almonds if desired.
