Dutch "Brownies"

- Beat together 4 eggs, 2 cups sugar, 1 cup melted margarine, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp almond extract.
- Add 2-1/4 cups flour and mix until well combined.
- Pour batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan.
- Bake at 325°F for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, then sprinkle with powdered sugar and slivered almonds if desired.
