Ingredients

  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • 2 tablespoons cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 package wieners
  • cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Insert wooden skewers or corn dog sticks into each wiener.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine pancake mix, cornmeal, and sugar.
  3. Gradually add water to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
  4. Heat cooking oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Dip each wiener into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
  6. Carefully place the coated wieners into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove the corn dogs from the oil and drain on paper towels before serving.
