Ingredients

  • 1 baked pie shell
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 4 egg whites
  • 3/4 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
  2. Beat egg yolks until light in color. Add sweetened condensed milk and beat lightly.
  3. Add lime juice and beat until smooth. Pour into pastry shell.
  4. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff peaks are formed.
  5. Pile meringue on top of the pie and bake for 4 minutes until golden.
