Ingredients

  • 1 can biscuits (10 count)
  • 5 cooking apples
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. apple pie spice
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut apples into quarters.
  2. Roll out biscuits.
  3. Cut each biscuit in half.
  4. Put 1 quarter apple in each biscuit half.
  5. Fold dough over apple and place in a buttered sheet pan or large casserole dish.
  6. Mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, water, apple pie spice, and vanilla; pour over dumplings.
  7. Cut butter over the top.
  8. Bake in a 350° oven until apples are done.
  9. Take from oven, baste, and continue baking until golden brown.
  10. May be served with Cool Whip.
