Ingredients

  • 2 deep dish pie crusts
  • 8 medium apples peeled and diced
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place one pie crust in a deep dish pie pan.
  3. Peel, core, and dice the apples.
  4. In a bowl, combine the apples with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  5. Melt the butter and pour it over the apple mixture.
  6. Fill the pie crust with the apple filling.
  7. Cover with the second pie crust, seal the edges, and cut small slits on top for steam to escape.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
