Ingredients

  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 (12 oz.) can beer

Instructions

  1. Combine self-rising flour and sugar in a large bowl, gradually add beer and stir just until moistened.
  2. Spoon the mixture into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
  3. Bake at 350°F for 55 to 60 minutes or until the loaf tests done.
  4. Brush the top with margarine.
  5. Cool the loaf in the pan for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
  7. Slice with an electric knife before serving.
