- Stir in the Karo syrup until fully incorporated.
- Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring constantly.
- Boil for 2 minutes.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk to the mixture.
- Bring the mixture back to a boil, stirring continuously.
- Continue boiling for 12 to 15 minutes or until the temperature reaches 234°F.
- Pour the hot caramel into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan and let it cool.
