Ingredients

  • 2 large cans Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 2 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Spread 1 can of crescent rolls in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan, pinching together to eliminate gaps.
  2. Cream together the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, lemon juice, and egg yolk until smooth.
  3. Pour the cream cheese mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly over the rolls.
  4. Unroll the remaining can of crescent rolls and layer on top of the cream cheese mixture, pinching together the edges.
  5. Beat the egg white and brush it over the top crust.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Chill the dessert before cutting into squares and serving.
