Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/2 cup sweet milk

Instructions

  1. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine melted butter or margarine, cocoa, and sugar.
  2. Gradually add milk and vanilla, mixing well.
  3. Place over medium heat.
  4. Bring the mixture to a full boil, then boil for 1 minute.
  5. Let the icing cool before spreading on a cake.
