Ingredients

  • 10 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon butter flavoring
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Combine chocolate and margarine in a heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until melted. Cool mixture slightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla extract, and butter flavoring.
  3. Add the melted chocolate mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until the batter is smooth.
  4. Stir in chopped pecans.
  5. Spoon the batter into paper-lined muffin pans, filling each cup 2/3 full.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 20 to 30 minutes, until done.
