Ingredients

  • 2 c. white or brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. molasses or light corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 18 to 20 c. popcorn

Instructions

  1. Boil the sugar, molasses or corn syrup, and butter on medium-high heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the baking soda to the boiling mixture and mix in well.
  3. Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn.
  4. Bake at 225°F for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
