Easy Deviled Crab

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. crab meat
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper
  • black pepper to taste
  • 2 heaping Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. ketchup
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1 medium bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 5 to 6 Tbsp. dry bread crumbs
  • 1/3 stick margarine
  • paprika to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix first 11 ingredients thoroughly.
  2. Place in clean clam shells, crab shells or 2-quart baking dish, sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle top with bread crumbs; dot with margarine.
  3. Sprinkle with paprika.
  4. Bake at 400° for 30 to 35 minutes.
  5. Yield: 5 to 6 servings.
