Quick and hearty lasagna squares combine savory beef, creamy cheeses, and a fluffy Bisquick topping, making a satisfying meal perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 tsp. oregano leaves
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 c. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2/3 c. Bisquick
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch dish.
  2. Layer Parmesan cheese and cottage cheese in the dish.
  3. Mix cooked and drained hamburger, oregano leaves, salt, pepper, tomato paste, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  4. Spoon the beef mixture evenly into the casserole dish.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat together milk, eggs, and Bisquick.
  6. Pour the milk mixture over the beef layer.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 35 minutes.
  8. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese before serving.
