Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. Blair ground nutmeg
  • 2 c. unsifted cake flour
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/8 tsp. Blair butter flavoring

Instructions

  1. Mix the sugar and ground nutmeg together and use to dust a greased 10-inch tube pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter and butter flavoring with the milk.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and beat for 20 minutes.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place it in a cold oven.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
