Ingredients

  • 2 c. self-rising flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 to 1 1/2 c. buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Combine self-rising flour and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  2. Pour in the buttermilk and oil; stir until the dough is manageable.
  3. Pour out the dough onto a floured surface.
  4. Knead the dough a few times.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into biscuit shapes.
  6. Put the biscuits in a greased pan.
  7. Turn each biscuit so both sides are coated with oil.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
